Ingredients:
1 Slab of Puff Pastry 4 oz. cream cheese
3 tablespoons of powder sugar
1/2 jar of Busy Bee’s Boysenberry Jam
2 tablespoons of butter 1/4 cup of flour
1 tsp of sugar
1 egg
Directions:First you need to thaw your puff pastry until it is soft and workable. Once thawed, unfold and lay the puff pastry onto a floured countertop so it doesn’t stick. Use a rolling pin to smooth out any creases. Then combine your cream cheese and powder sugar in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Dollop the cream cheese mix into the center of the puff pastry. Next spread Busy Bee’s Boysenberry Jam evenly through the center of the puff pastry. After the filling is ready fold the long sides of the puff pastry over each other and then fold the short ends underneath. Take a knife and cut slits in the top of the dough. Melt the butter and spread it on a cookie sheet so the pastry doesn’t stick while baking. Carefully transfer the pastry to the cookie sheet and then brush the beaten egg over the pastry with a basting brush. The last step before baking is to sprinkle a little sugar on top to make it glisten. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and bake for 28 to 30 mins or until the top is golden brown. This pastry is a delectable treat for you and your family to enjoy this holiday!
